Wahana Baratama completes feasibility study of S. Kalimantan coal mine

Coal mining firm PT Wahana Baratama Mining has recently completed the feasibility study report for its coal mining concession in Satui, South Kalimantan.
According to company’s report, a total of 41.9 million tons, from around 64.7 million tons of coal measured reserve at two blocks of the concession, is feasible to be marketed for a 16-year period.
The report said Wahana would produce around 0.3 million tons in the first year of production and ramping up to 3 million tons after three years of production.
It also said coal product is expected to be sold at average calorific value of 7,000 Kcal/kg.
Last October, Wahana signed a preliminary agreement with South Korean firms Korea Resources Co. and Daewoo International Corp to co-develop the coal mine. (Robert)
