Wahana obtains forestry land use permit to boost output

South Kalimantan coal miner PT Wahana Baratama Mining (WBM) has obtained foresty land use permit locally known as Izin Pinjam pakai for an around 794 hectares of forest area within its mining area.
With the permit, WBM can develop the mine into production stage to boost the company?s coal output in 2014, the industrial source told Petromindo.Com
At the present, WBM has produced around 3.5 million tons of coal as of November this year. The company is expected to produce around 4 million tons of coal for this year.
Last year, WBM produced 4.3 million tons.
WBM has a third generation coal contract of work signed on Nov. 20, 1997 to operate a 7,811 Ha concession in Satui and Kintap districts. IDX-listed coal miner group PT. Bayan Resources has 100 percent shares in WBM.
