Wahana Perkit stops tin production in Kepulauan Meranti

Mining firm PT Wahana Perkit Jaya (PTWP) has stopped tin production at its concession in Topang Island, Ransang District, Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau Province, after its permit expired, a local report said Wednesday
News portal riauheadline.com quoted head of the local mining office Armizar as saying that the company has stopped tin production since early this year.
He said that the company?s mining license has expired, and that it is believed that the license over a 6,466-ha concession also overlapped with the license of other tin firm. (*)
