Waskita plans hydro power plant in W. Java

IDX-listed engineering and construction firm PT Waskita Karya Tbk through indirect subsidiary PT Waskita Wado Energi (WWE) plans to develop a 50 MW hydro power plant in Sumedang, West Java Province.

Waskita Karya Director Agus Sutiono told Petromind.com recently that WWE is currently seeking permits from the local administrations for the planned project.

He added that the company is currently in the process of acquired the required land for the project, totaling around 10 hectares. He did not provide further details.

WWE was set up in the latter part of last year by Waskita?s subsidiary PT Waskita Karya Energi.
