Waskita, Shalawat to develop mini-hydro power plant in Sumatra

IDX-listed construction firm PT Waskita Karya has inked an agreement with PT Shalawat Power to allow the establishment of a joint venture operating in power plant sector.
Under the agreement, which was signed and reported to the IDX last Friday, the joint venture will be named PT Waskita Sangir Energi (WSE) and tasked to develop mini-hydro power plants.
The first project will be the development of a power plant in Batang-Sangir, South Sumatra.
