ASX-listed Wavenet International Limited said on Wedenesday that the diamond drilling program continue with two BMP250 diamond drill rigs operating at the Selaup Project in Putussibau, West Kalimantan.
To date 11 diamond drill holes have been completed for a total of 1169.38 metres of NQ core.
?The drill program is ongoing? the company said in the statement.
Logging of lithologies confirms extensively altered sediments and andesite sills, both with sulphide-bearing horizons
Drilling has confirmed that mineralisation appears to be confined to the sandstones where fractures and faults contain elevated levels of gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc.
Assay results from 12SD021 indicate sandstones contain 0.1 to 11.0 g/t Au, and andesites contain only trace amounts of gold, silver and lead within abundant disseminated sulphide.
The altered sandstones occur in a zone approximately 800 metres long by about 250 metres wide and is the host rock in all the artisanal mines
Mapping of the mine workings has confirmed a series of highly mineralized, flat-lying clay zones confined and related to N-S faults and NW-trending steep fractures.
A rock chip sampling program around the workings located individual vein or fault structures containing gold in the range of 1.1 g/t Au to 111 g/t Au. Silver values ranged from 0.1 g/t Ag to 55.3 g/t Ag, copper values from 14 to 1050 ppm Cu, lead values from 22 ppm to 2.14% Pb and zinc values from 52 ppm to 3.95% Zn.
150 samples have been collected from the alluvial deposits in the drainage system and approximately 67 showed visible gold during panning (44.6%). These have been dispatched for assay.
