?With the recent successful upgrade to the coal drying column at the Tabang plant now operational and enabling the pre-briquetting moisture content of the coal to be reduced from approximately 35% to the targeted 6%-7%, work to address the remaining technical issues at the plant is well underway,? the company said.
?It is due to be completed by the end of November 2011.?
WEC has 51 percent shares in Kaltim Supacoal, a joint venture with PT Bayan Resource.
It said that two additional dust collection baghouses, which were designed to enable the plant to run at nameplate capacity, were installed at site during the September 2011 plant shutdown.
The final tie-in of the new baghouses to the main plant will occur during the November 2011 plant shutdown, the company said.
?It is expected that KSC will commence ramping-up to full production capacity once the modifications are complete, and be in a position to establish the final production capacity of the plant shortly thereafter,? it said. (adianto)
