Weda bay minerals appoints project manager

Weda Bay Minerals Inc. (TSE:WDA) yesterday announced the appointment of Mr. Stephen Redmond as Project Manager for the Company's Bankable Feasibility Study. The study covers Weda Bay's extensive high-grade, lateritic nickel and cobalt deposits on Halmahera Island, Indonesia.

Mr. Redmond has extensive engineering and feasibility study experience, evaluating lateritic nickel deposits and High Pressure Acid Leach technology while working with Kvaerner. Included in his experience are detailed feasibility studies done for Calliope Metals including one for its proposal to import ore from New Caledonia to Gladstone, Australia and another for the Highlands Pacific Ramu project in Papua, New Guinea.
