West Java FSRU vessel to arrive in Jakarta on April 20

State owned utility firm PT PLN expects the commissioning of Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) in Jakarta bay on May 1, and to begin receiving LNG supply for its Muara Karang power plant soon afterward.

?Commissioning of West Java FSRU is expected to start on May 1. Muara Karang plant is ready to receive 1 LNG cargo, or equals to 125 mmscfd,? M. Suryadi Mardjoeki, Head of Oil Fuel and LNG Division at PLN, told petromindo.com.

Contacted separately, Hendra Jaya, President Director of PT Nusantara Regas which will operate the FSRU, said the vessel is scheduled to leave Singapore for Jakarta bay in April.

?God willing, the departure date is set on April 12,? Hendra said. The vessel is expected to arrive on April 20.
