ASX-listed Western Mining Network Limited (WMN) announced Wednesday that its initial core-drilling program is progressing well at the Tamboli Project in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi.
Results from the geological mapping, topographic, and geophysical surveys have been used for strategic drill hole locations. The exploratory core-drilling program will consist of four initial holes, the company said.
Upon completion of drilling on the four initial holes, the results will be used to determine a systematic drilling program where the actual number of holes and total meters drilled in the program will depend on the geology intersected in each hole.
"The on-site geologist will evaluate the data recovered from each hole and will exercise his judgment when collaring subsequent holes in order to optimize the chance for each drill hole to be as effective and as informative as possible," WMN said.
An industrial estate area and a graphite beneficiation plant are planned in Southeast Sulawesi Province, should future exploration of the Tamboli project be successful.
WMN entered into heads of agreement in June with Milestone Link Pte to acquire a 75 percent interest in the Tamboli project. WMN said mid last month it was still conducting due dilligence process of the project.
