Australia-listed firm Finders Resources?proposed changes for the designation and function of forest areas in the Province of Maluku, according to the notification of the Head of Spatial Planning, Maluku Province, has been approved by the Minister of Forestry on February 2nd 2012 in a meeting attended by the Governor of Maluku, Regents, Director General of Planology and other senior members of the Forestry department.
The next and final stage of the process is the gazetting process, which is procedural and has a lot to do with placing information regarding its attempt to build public road in and out of the area. The Head of Spatial Planning has advised that the process of gazetting is expected to be accelerated with the support of the Regents and all other stakeholders.
