Widjajono appointed as deputy energy minister

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has appointed Widjajono Partowidagdo, a member of National Energy Council (DEN) and a professor at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) as Energy and Mineral Resources Deputy Minister.

Widjajono was among three deputy ministers who were appointed today by the President.

?I was appointed as Energy and Mineral Resources Deputy Minister. Previously I was a professor at ITB and member of National Energy Council,? Widjajono told reporters as reported by detik.com.

Widjajono said he was contacted by Sudi Silalahi, Minister/State Secretary, at midday. Widjajono graduated from petroleum engineering and graduated at the same year from ITB with former energy minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro. (roffie)
