Wika completes PLTU Cilacap projects ahead of schedule

PT Wijaya Karya (Wika), a subcontractor for the construction of the PLTU Cilacap steam power plant, has successfully completed construction works at the power plant ahead of schedules, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Monday.
The president director of Wika, A. Sutjipto said in Jakarta last week that the Rp 330 billion construction works awarded to his company including a site preparation, piling works, and civil works for the plant's complex had all been completed.
Wika is one of subcontractors appointed to handle the construction of the PLTU Cilacap power plant in Central Java. The power plant which has a capacity of 2 x 300 MW is jointly built by PT Geo Dipa Energi (GDE), PT Sumber Energy Sakti Prima (SESP) and Chinese company Chengda Engineering Corporation.
The 4 trillion power plant is expected to begin its commercial operation next month. (*)
