WIKA obtains EPC contract for gas-fired power plant projects

IDX-listed engineering and construction firm PT Wijaya Karya (WIKA) has recently obtained EPC contracts for the construction of small-scale gas-fired power plants (PLTG) with total capacity of 200 MW scattered in the eastern part of Indonesia.
?We have recently obtained EPC contracts for PLTG (projects). There are two packages, of which the locations are scattered in eastern Indonesia such as in Sumba, Bima, and other locations. The capacities are small, totaling 200 MW,? said Operational Director 2 at WIKA, Bambang Pramujo on Tuesday.
Bambang said that the projects have already started construction with target for the plants to start operation in 2019.
He said that the total value of the contracts is Rp 1.9 trillion. This year, WIKA has also obtained contracts for the construction of 200 MW PLTG in Bitung special economic zone, and 2x200 MW PLTG in Likupang special economic zone, both in North Sulawesi Province.
