IDX-listed engineering and construction firm PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (Wika) expects feasibility study for the planned 60 MW gas-fired power plant at the Soekarno Hatta (Soetta) International Airport in Banten to be completed by the end of this month.

?The FS is expected to be finalized at the end of August,? said Wika Director Destiawan Soewardjono to petromindo.com on Wednesday.

He said that construction is expected to start in October in the hope that the power plant can begin operation next year to help meet electricity requirement of the airport.

Wika, state-owned airport management company PT Angksa Pura II, and IDX-listed gas distribution firm PT PGN Tbk signed in May an agreement to set up a joint venture to develop the Rp 1 trillion gas-fired power plant project.
