Winner of Balongan's EPC contract for unleaded fuel unit to be announced in Dec

State oil and gas firm Pertamina will announce early next month winner of the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract for a special unit at its Balongan oil refinery in West Java to produce unleaded fuel for the domestic market, company president director Baihaki Hakim said on Thursday.
?We expect to announce contract winner early in December,? Baihaki said in a parliamentary hearing.
Baihaki said they had completed evaluation over technical aspects of bids received by Pertamina, and had yet to finish evaluation on commercial aspects.
The construction of the unleaded fuel producing unit at Balongan refinery will be financed with US$200 million in loan from a consortium of international banks.
The government will start its ?Blue Sky? program in 2005, and not in 2003 as initially planned. (godang)
