Winners of oil tender to be announced in April

The government is expected to announce in April the winners of the regular tender conducted several months ago for development and operation of a number of oil and gas blocks, Director General of Oil and Gas at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, Evita H. Legowo said.

?I have not yet reported to the Minister. I hope the winners can be announced in April,? Evita said.

Evita said that the tender committee had assessed all the bidding documents submitted by investors. She said the crisis in Europe may bring negative implication on the interest of the investors in the tender.

The oil and blocks offered in the second round of tender in 2011 were as follows:
1. Kuningan Block, onshore West Java-East Java
2. Offshore South Java I Block, South Java Sea
3. Offshore South Java II Block, South Java Sea
4. Offshore South Java III Block, South Java Sea
5. South East Sageri Block, offshore South Sulawesi
6. East Abadi Block, offshore South Maluku
7. South West Salawati Block, offshore West Papua
8. West Berau Block, onshore West Papua
9. Kai Block, offshore Maluku
