Wintermar acquires platform supply vessels

Local offshore marine company PT Wintermar through its unit PT PSV Indonesia has ordered ttwo units of platform supply vessels (PSV) bound to arrive in Indonesia from India and Singapore in May 2010, Kontan reported citing Managing Director Sugiman Layanto.

Sugiman said the PSVs will be able to support drilling activities in the water depth of up to 2 kilometers.

He said the company has secured 5-year loan of US$39.72 million from OCBC Bank consortium.

According to Sugiman, the vessels will work under three-year contract for Makassar Straits Explorers Consortium (MSEC), which members are Marathon International Petroleum Indonesia Ltd, Anadarko Popodi Ltd, ConocoPhilips (Kuma) Ltd, ENI Bukat Ltd, Statoil Indonesia Karama AS, dan Talisman (Sageri) Ltd.

MSEC plan to drill 12 wells in their respective exploration blocks in 2 years. (*)
