Wintermar secures contracts worth USD 23.8m from PHE WMO and a consortium

Wintermar said the two-year contract from PHE WMO will commence during the second semester of 2011. Under the contract, Wintermar will provide one unit Multi Purpose Supply/Personnel Carrier/Modu Tow ERRV Class ?B? type vessel for the Pertamina?s subsidiary.
The scope of work of the vessel involves routine rig supply, emergency medical evacuation, crew change and stand by duties.
PHE WMO is engaged in oil & gas exploration and production activities. PHE WMO is the operator of the West Madura Production Sharing Contract (PSC) since 7th May 2011. Exploration activity in the PHE WMO block began in 1984 and was successful in producing oil & gas in 1993. The current oil production is about 14.000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and gas production is about 165 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd). PHE WMO will drill an estimated 41 wells in the various fields located in these two blocks.
Separately, PT Wintermar has also secured a three-year contract to provide pipeline protection vessels (3 PPV) for the West Natuna Transportation System (WNTS). This contract commenced in July.
WNTS is jointly operated by a consortium of three oil companies namely ConocoPhillips (COPI), Star Energy and Premier Oil. The 28? diameter trunkline, 600 km long, high pressure gas pipeline running from Singapore to the West Natuna Gas Fields in the Indonesian Continental shelf is a vital power source for Singapore?s industrial complex.
The vessels scope of work will include protecting and securing the gas pipeline from unknown vessels who conduct hazards nearby the pipeline; collecting information of vessels crossing or traveling near the pipeline; monitoring all marine shipping operations within area of responsibility; coordinating and monitoring with all vessels entering, leaving harbor in Batam or working along the pipeline area.
