Wiraatmadja named as Director General of Oil, Gas

IGN Wiraatmadja Pudja has been finally appointed as the New Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

This was said by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said on Tuesday during a meeting with oil and gas producers operating in the country. He said that a team led by President Joko Widodo has approved the appointment of Wiraatmadja.

He said that Wiraatmadja, who was previously acting director general of oil and gas, will be officially installed into the post this week, possibly on Thursday.

A source told Petromindo.com previously that former acting president director of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, Muhamad Husen had been appointed as the new director general of oil and gas.

Meanwhile, a different source told this portal that as part of an overall reshuffle at the ministry, the Sudirman would also install Bambang Gatot as the new Director General of Mineral and Coal.
