WISCO set to make first export of high strength rail to RI

China?s Wuhan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (WISCO) said that it had on November 20 successfully completed mass production of high strength heavy rail to be exported to Indonesia.
The company said in a statement Friday that the heavy rail meets the most strict railway standards of the world, the EN standards of the European Union of Railway.
?And all property indexes satisfied with the technical requirements of the customer, which will be export to Java Island of Indonesia, signifying that WISCO?s overseas strategy of heavy rails has stepped out a solid pace,? the company said in a statement, without disclosing the identity of the customer.
This portal reported on March 20, quoting then minister of industry MS Hidayat as saying that WISCO plans to team up with Indonesia?s Sinar Mas Group to build the largest steel plant in Indonesia.
