Workers plan strike at Banpu?s Indominco coal mine

Workers of mining contractor PT. Pama Persada are planning to stage strike at East Kalimantan coal miner PT. Indominco Mandiri, a subsidiary of Thai energy conglomerate Banpu PLC, Kaltim Post daily reported Wednesday.
Pama Persada is mining contractor of Indominco.
The daily said that the workers planned to stage strike over dissatisfaction of dismissal of Pama?s 98 workers.
The daily reported that the workers planned strike for 3 days, starting from October 17.
The daily reported that some 500-1000 workers would join the strike. (*)
