WorleyParsons bags Bukit Tua FEED contract

Australian engineering firm WorleyParsons has been announced as winner for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contract for Petronas-operated Bukit Tua oilfield development offshore East Java, a senior official at upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said on Friday.
Deputy Chairman Hardiono told Petromindo.Com that Worley Parsons will be formally awarded the contract after objection period for losing bidders would expire. He did not give detail.
Bukit Tua is located within Ketapang PSC, where Petronas has 100 percent working interest after acquiring 50 percent stake at the block from former partner ConocoPhillips. Bukit Tua is slated top start production in 2011 with production of 20,000 BPD and 50MMCFD of flare gas. (godang)
