Zaratex to drill Aceh exploration block by year-end

Malaysian-based Dutch company, Zaratex NV will drill one offshore exploration well at its Lhokseumawe exploration block mid December 2009.

The company said in a bid announcement for jack up rig on Friday that the well will be located in water depth of 10-12 meters and possibly followed up by another optional well.

Zaratex has 100 percent interest in the block, which was awarded by the government in 2005. (alex)
