FIELD TECHNICAL GEOTECHNICAL ROLES

Education

- Degree Civil Engineering or Master degree specializing in Geotechnics from a reputable    university

Experience

- Minimum 10 years' experience as a Geotechnical Engineer. This will include experience onshore geotechnical field campaigns, specifying and managing field investigations on major infrastructure projects preferably in the oil   and gas industry.

- At least    2 years   of which shall    be experience gained within field supervision    as a COMPANY and or CONTRACTOR representative.

- Has clear skill   level   knowledge   of field geotechnical   campaigns.

Technical Competencies

- HSSE systems/requirements

- Design     of   deep    and    shallow foundations

- Specifying   and   supervising     field investigation   campaigns

- Supervising    laboratory testing

Basic Job Requirements

The primary function on the Field Geotechnical Engineer is to :

- Act as COMPANY Field Geotechnical representative onsite during the field survey bring impactful and visible HSSE leadership throughout the duration of the campaign with area responsibility

- Liaise and work with the Geotechnical CONTRACTOR to ensure quality and consistency of data from field and laboratory acquisition

- Steer and direct CONTRACTOR in the field with respect to day working

- Act as COMPANY field representative in day to day matters

- Advise senior engineer with respect to day to day issues, carry look ahead and derisk/mitigate potential issues ahead of time

- Update senior engineer of area progress

- The position specifically provides technical expertise in the areas on onshore and nerashore geotechnics

PIPELINE EXECUTION ENGINEER

The Pipeline Execution Engineer has the overall responsibility of designing or revising and approving the outline of pipeline designs and engineering studies required for the development of Sakakemang POD1 project, complying with applicable Engineering and Safety & Environment standards and regulations, in order to ensure compliance with project objectives. During execution phase, ensure that fabrication and installation works carried out by the Contractors are in accordance with the design specifications and are constructed in a manner that is safe and easy to maintain. Co-ordinate proactively with specialist package engineers and departments on the pipeline interfaces.

Main Responsibilities:

1. During Engineering phase:

o Produce the pipeline basis of design and prepare or review Pipeline Technical Specifications.

o Carry out or supervise pipeline design and recommend improvements to increase productivity, enhance equipment performance, reduce costs or shorten schedule.

o Develop scope of work for pipeline studies for different project phases.

2. Responsible on the technical aspect during the procurement and manufacturing of Pipeline.

3. Prepare technical PO/Contract SoW for line pipe procurement, including line pipe material, pig launcher/receiver, and fitting/flanges.

4. Review and approve pipeline manufacturing drawings.

5. Prepare ITP document during the manufacturing process of the line pipe.

6. During Pre-Commissioning:

o Prepare pre-commissioning plan for new installed pipeline: hydro-test specifications, cleaning, purging and pigging.

o Site engineer during the pre-commissioning of the pipeline.

o Review and approve as-built drawings.

Requirements:

• University degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or similar technical discipline.

• 15+ years of experience in Oil and Gas Pipeline industry, including onshore pipeline field experience during execution, with demonstrable leadership experience.

• Strong technical knowledge of Pipeline engineering principles and their application to engineering projects from conceptual to detailed engineering stages.

• Pipeline construction experience is essential.

OFFSHORE RIG HSE SUPERVISOR

Main Responsibilities:

1. Be a visible safety leader by demonstrating and reinforcing adherence to Client and Main Contractor mission and values and personal accountability for health, safety, and the environment.

2. Participate in Major Accident Hazard (MAH) bow-tie and operational hazard ID program, Management of Change program, including standards, procedures and programs needed for compliance.

3. Provide analysis tracking of HSE hazards as part of Pre-Start Safety Reviews, Mechanical Integrity & Critical Equipment inspections, and Incident investigation processes. Review and follow up.

4. Participate as the Onsite Safety Advisor for Tactical Management Team as part of the Emergency Management Plan.

5. Support field execution of contractors Health Safety and Environment program. Assist with implementation of Contractor HSE bridging document requirements, as well as coordinate critical HSE safe work practices field audits of confined space, safety equipment by-pass, fall protection, crane operations, lockout/tag out, work permits and job safety analysis.

6. Advise site base supervisors and personnel on safety, health, and environmental related issues.

7. Coordinate and conduct on-site safety campaigns, to improve employee’s awareness in safety aspects.

Requirements:

• Senior High School or Diploma or University degree in Science or Engineering with specialization in QHS&E

• S&EQ Management Systems knowledge (ISO 14001, OSHA 180001 or ISO 9001)

• Be in possession of NEBOSH certification or equivalent and valid MIGAS HSE Certificate (Mandatory)

• More than 10 years relevant experience as O&G HSE Supervisor (as company representative) with 10 years’ experience in offshore Drilling (with handling the Deepwater Drilling Project Experience with Drillship or at least with a Semi-submersible rig)

LOGISTIC SHORE BASE HSE SUPERVISOR

Main Responsibilities:

1. Be a visible safety leader by demonstrating and reinforcing adherence to Client and Main Contractor mission and values and personal accountability for health, safety, and the environment.

TECHNICAL AUDITOR

The audit will be performed to verify the seismic contractor’s energy source and recording equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer’s specifications and Company’s requirements stated in the Contract. The engineer shall bring all necessary testing equipment to complete the audit. The technical audit is envisaged to be a stand-alone item and the engineer is not expected to form part of a QC team.

The audit shall include, but not be limited to:

1. Recording instrument tests – distortion, dynamic range, system timing, etc.

2. Energy Source – start time, synchronization, and the standard recommended procedures.

3. Sensors – Distortion, natural frequency, leakage, etc.

4. Telemetry Cables – leakage, dynamic resistance, transmission loss, etc.

5. Nodal system (if applicable).

6. Available certificates and licenses for hardware and software.

7. Other Equipment – as required (GPS, Up-hole tools, near surface acquisition equipment, PPV meter…).

The technical auditor will assess the competence of the recording crew and address recommendations and instruction where necessary on the latest instrument quality control techniques and test procedures. At the end of the field visit the technical auditor will discuss the results with Contractor and Company representatives and generate a summary report for the Company, to be followed by a full audit report.

Requirements:

Appropriate technical qualifications and experience of performing technical audits on seismic equipment is required. Bidders will submit a detailed CV for each auditor that is offered to perform the services:

• At least 8-10 years of experience as technical auditor for land geophysical operations.

• Experience with nodal equipment and explosive source projects.

• BSc in geophysics, electronic engineering degree, computer science, or equivalent qualification.

SENIOR DRILLING SUPERVISOR

Main Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible to supervise the seismic contractor´s drilling & preloading operations, Charge vs Depth Verification, Reporting and will have the following main responsibilities: 

1. Ensure the compliance of the contract signed between the seismic Contractor and Company.

2. Supervise that shot hole drilling and loading operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, including but not limited to:

o Safe and stable rig setup

o Logistics of personnel and equipment

o Correct equipment transportation

o Adequate procedures while drilling.

o Proper charge preparation/priming (to avoid misfires)

o Adequate loading procedures

o Proper equipment maintenance

o Advise on drilling crew competency and potential improvement areas or training needed

3. Control and validate, by physical inspection, the compliance with the requirements for adequate source depth and charge, correct tamping of the load and safety distances.

4. Assist and observe shot hole detonation activities. Supervise and cross check the correct report of blowouts and UH anomalies. Help the lead QC the relevant departments (mainly recording), to statistically analyze trends, correlations with lithology and causes. Suggest improvement actions for quality and productivity based on analysis of drilling and loading activities.

Requirements:

Appropriate technical qualifications and sound experience in acting as drilling supervisor on land seismic crews is required:

• At least 8-10 years of experience in a similar position. (Experience as client representative / party manager in similar operations will be eventually considered) 

• Sound knowledge of seismic operations.

• Extensive and hands on experience with:

o Drilling rigs and ancillary equipment

o Surface geology / lithology identification

o Seismic Explosives technical specifications, handling, and storage procedures

RECORDING SUPERVISOR

Main Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the compliance of the contract signed between the seismic Contractor and Company.

2. Monitor the implementation of HSE aspects across the various recording phases (equipment testing / logistics / layout / pickup / shooting / trouble shooting / recording)

3. Inspection and acceptance of instrument / station units / cables / sensors to be utilized in the recording process – daily, monthly and prior to area change

4. Monitor seismic data recording to comply with the standards specified in the contract (noise control, geometry, auxiliary channels, S/N ratio, signal frequency content among others). If not compliant, corrective actions to be taken

5. Ensure Shot Point Blasting is performed in full HSE and quality compliance (PPEs, safety distances, obstruction clearance, correct UH geophone planting and good radio communication between Blaster and Recorder)

6. Report field conditions changes to Lead QC / Senior National QC / Assistant SNQC preventing normal parameters acquisition and Implement approved modifications

7. Report recording daily activities to Lead QC / Senior National QC / Assistant SNQC with possible inputs for improvement

8. Ensure proper storage and data transfer between field Recorder and base camp QC & Processing office

9. Advise Company of any infractions of safety standards and assist (if required) in investigation of any accident or near-miss.

10. Participate in periodic safety meetings with Seismic Contractor’s personnel.

11. Ensure that all working practices are according to the environmental plan defined for this survey

12. Assist the Lead QC in the preparation of a comprehensive and fully documented independent report on Seismic Contractor’s performance on completion of project. (Final Report).

Requirements:

• At least 8-10 years of experience in a similar position

• Sound knowledge of land portable seismic operations

• Extensive experience of Sumatra environment and operation

• Extensive experience of data recording systems (Sercel SN428, SN508 or equivalent recording systems)

• Extensive experience of sensor testing equipment (Megger, LT, SMT etc…)

EXPLOSIVE COORDINATOR

Main Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the compliance of the contract’s explosive material storage and handling with respect to the prevailing regulation – Ditjen Migas regulation (Ref. SNI-13-6911-2002 Explosive Handling for Safe Conduct in Indonesia / Implementation) and KAPOLRI regulation No.2 tahun 2008 Build & operate Temporary explosive storage

2. Coordinate with local / national Police and Ditjen Migas for seismic explosive material storage and handling

3. Serve in good manner requests of explosive material for the field seismic loading / preloading operations

4. Supervise seismic explosive material loading / unloading between Main Explosive Storage, Field / Temporary Explosive Storages and seismic lines

5. Supervise seismic explosive material loading / unloading from Explosive Supplier to Main Explosive Storage

6. Assist in a good manner every incoming official personnel for explosive inspection from SKK Migas, Ditjen Migas or Company itself

7. Supervise explosive material tidy arrangement at Main Explosive Storage and Field / Temporary Explosive Storages

8. Perform random and periodic seismic explosive material physical inventory

9. Prepare monthly seismic explosive material inventory reports

10. Advise Company of any infractions of safety standards and assist (if required) in investigation of any accident or near-miss

11. Participate in periodic safety meetings with Explosive Storages personnel.

12. Ensure that all working practices are according to the environmental plan defined for this survey

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of experience in a similar position

• Minimum education level SMU / SMK

• Ditjen Migas Explosive handling license

• Sound experience of Sumatra environment and operations

MECHANICAL ENGINEER – STATIC EQUIPMENT

Mechanical Engineer has the overall responsibility of designing or revising/approving mechanical systems designs and engineering studies required for the development of project area, complying with applicable Engineering and Safety & Environment standards and regulations, in order to ensure compliance with project objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Produce the mechanical systems basis of design and prepare or review Project Static Equipment Technical Specifications.

2. Carry out or supervise mechanical design and recommend improvements to increase productivity or enhance equipment performance.

3. Develop scope of work for mechanical studies for different project phases.

4. Carry out or supervise the engineering work corresponding to static mechanical and package equipment during the phases of definition (FEED) and execution in order to meet the established safety, quality, schedule and budget objectives.

5. Ensure the application of engineering, construction and Safety & Environment standards and regulations during the design phase, guaranteeing the application of lessons learned, best practices and key indicators by means of the knowledge management technologies available.

6. Direct or participate in the implementation of the project-risk analyses with the aim of mitigating them.

7. Support the Facilities Engineering Lead in the communications with SKK MIGAS or other government/regulatory authority.

Requirements:

8. 15+ years of experience in Oil and Gas industry, including onshore gas processing plants, with demonstrable leadership experience.

9. Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical engineering principles and their application to engineering projects from conceptual to detailed engineering stages.

10. Brownfield / modifications project experience is essential.

11. University degree in Mechanical Engineering.

12. Fluent spoken and written English.

MATERIAL / WELDING SPECIALIST (METALLURGIST)

Material / Welding Specialist (Metallurgist) has the overall responsibility of Technical and Quality requirement related to the Material (and Welding aspect) of the material / equipment purchased for the project (including internally lined pipeline). From the Design, Engineering, Specification, Manufacturing, Inspection and Installation phase of the material / equipment purchased.

Main Responsibilities:

1. The main duty of the incumbent is determining suitable material and welding procedure to be used in a project and problem solving related to material issues

2. Identify the Laws and Regulations to be complied with. Define the Codes and Standards to be adhered to for the Project.

3. Review and approve for the proposed material and welding specification from the FEED Contactor, manufacturer/ and EPC Contractor

4. Review and approve documents from vendors /manufacturer

5. Lead pre-production meeting at vendor premise

6. Lead pre-inspection meeting at vendor premise

7. Develop and implement an inspection and testing strategy

8. Coordinate with government agencies (MIGAS& DiMet) for inspection point that required to be witnessed by government agent.

 Requirements:

13. 15+ years of experience in Oil and Gas industry business.

14. 10+ years Material and Welding Engineering and QA/QC for the Oil and Gas project

15. Must have experience handling internally lined and cladded pipe, the experience includes (but not limited to) area of: Design, Develop Specification, Manufacturing/Production of the cladded pipeline.

16. Familiar with the API Specification 5LD.

17. Minimum University degree in Engineering, preferably Metallurgical Engineering

18. Fluent spoken and written English.
