1) Mineral Trading Manager

As a committed professional with relevant mineral trading experience gained within the mining industry, you will have well developed trading skills plus the personal attributes to fulfil the requirements of the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Corporate

• Growing our Mineral Trading Business unit (especially in Nickel, Coal and other mineral trading) with well-defined performance targets in terms of growth and profitability

• Keeping a tab on latest developments in the industry and identify growth opportunities for the company

• Identify new sales and marketing opportunities for new products and channel partners

• Forging alliances and working out agreements with various channels to expand our product and service offerings

• Work along with Head of Mineral Trading to ensure that we deliver of the performance targets committed to our senior management.

Investments

• Working in and influencing alignment within a multidisciplinary project team (legal, financial and economic)

• Identifying critical risks and issues within existing and new investments

• Providing advice and support to the Company’s asset operating teams

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven Experience in building and expanding mineral trading units, preferably in Nickel, Coal and other minerals (min 10 years). 

• Track record of successful trading business within Indonesia

• Strong sales and marketing skills

• Ability to network and forge alliances

• Sharp industry insights and a go-getter attitude

• Ability to work in teams

• Should be flexible and respond quickly as per business requirement

• Relevant University degree

• Exposure to both Indonesian and international companies and projects preferred

• Willing to learn and be open to new approaches

• Able to demonstrate true leadership abilities, lead teams as well as be able to work independently

• High degree of computer literacy

• High degree of professional ethics and integrity

• Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information

• Excellent lobbying capabilities

• Willing to travel extensively

2) Mining General Manager

As General Manager of Mining with relevant technical, commercial and general management experience and expertise gained within the mining industry, you will be responsible for the success of the Company’s Indonesian Mining business including P&L of our existing portfolio plus the evaluation and acquisition of new investment opportunities. You will play a key role in implementing the Company’s investment strategy whilst providing timely advice to ensure portfolio growth and profit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• P&L of Indonesian Mining business

• Budgeting and cost control

• Provide leadership for high-profile projects / investment opportunities to ensure achievement of business strategies / targets 

• Identify and generate potential business investment opportunities in the mining or resources industries

• Proactively analyse market opportunities, trends, competitive positioning, industry forecasts and business implications to influence product / solution roadmaps

• Identify critical business development risks and issues within existing and new investments in Indonesia

• Provide effective support and oversight of Joint Venture partnerships to ensure Company’s interest and concerns are being communicated and addressed

• Provide advice and support to the Company’s operating teams

• Supervise and coordinate performance reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually)

• Follow up on projects to address emerging needs and improvements within the companies 

• Communicate, deal and negotiate with multiple stakeholders to create relationships of trust 

• Maintain and always keep updated with the changes in mining industry legislation and regulation

• Establish good working practices, procedures and goals and maintaining company standards

• Establish and manage risk assessments, system and procedures

• Oversee all health and safety, environment & quality policies to ensure regulatory compliance

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in geology or mining engineering preferred;

• Proven senior mining industry experience across differing minerals (preferably base metals, coal and precious metals) is a must

• Minimum 15years of experience in mine operations including technical, commercial and general management

• Familiar with Mining take over / Joint Operation process and regulations

• Track record as successful Head of Mining (or equivalent position) within Indonesia preferable 

• Proven ability to effectively support multiple project teams

• Able to coordinate with local communities

• Strong networks with local and Jakarta government officials.

• Able to demonstrate true leadership abilities, lead teams as well as an ability to work independently

• Having sound judgement and the ability to analyse situations and information in resources/minerals opportunities

• Willing to travel extensively to multiple projects sites mostly in Indonesia
