Facility Engineer (Code: FE)

Job Summary

The Facility Engineer is responsible for assisting in the technical, integrity, and optimization of oil and gas production facilities. This role involves both assisting in the monitoring of existing producing asset and supporting the development of new asset, compliance with the international standard and regulations.

Main Job Responsibilities

1. Assistance in Asset Monitoring and Optimization:

• Assist the Senior Facilities Engineer in reviewing and analyzing operational data, performance reports, and integrity assessments for producing assets.

• Providing technical advice and troubleshooting solutions for facility-related issues, such as process upsets, equipment failures, and production bottlenecks.

• Contribute to the review of maintenance and inspection programs. Help ensure that the assets meet all relevant integrity standards and company requirements.

• Assist in the analysis of facility performance metrics to identify potential issues or areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations to summarize findings for senior management.

2. Assistance in Development Project Execution:

• Provide technical support to the Senior Facilities Engineer throughout all project phases, from conceptual design and front-end engineering design (FEED) to detailed engineering and commissioning.

• Assist in the preparation and review of key engineering deliverables.

• Help coordinate with vendors and contractors by reviewing technical proposals, providing feedback, and tracking project progress.

• Participate in project risk assessments such as HAZID and HAZOP studies. Assist in ensuring that all designs and project activities adhere to relevant health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations.

• Contribute to the documentation of lessons learned from previous projects and apply them to new developments to improve project efficiency and outcomes.

3. General Duties:

• Serve as a technical resource to the team, applying knowledge of surface production operations and systems.

• Assist in the root cause analysis of equipment failures and operational incidents.

• Provide guidance and support to more junior team members and interns as needed.

• Maintain clear and effective communication with the senior engineer, project teams, and other departments to ensure alignment on project goals and technical issues.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering.

• 5–10 years of in facilities engineering within the oil and gas industry.

• Proficient in spoken and written English.

• Experience in both onshore and offshore environments is a significant advantage.

• Demonstrated experience in supporting facilities development projects and existing production assets.

• Strong knowledge of oil and gas surface production operations and process systems.

• Familiarity with engineering software.

• Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API).

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively independently or within a team structure and willing to travel or work on-site as needed.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proactive and eager to take on new tasks and responsibilities as directed.

• Ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.

 

Reservoir Engineer (Code: RE)

Job Summary

The Reservoir Engineer is responsible for conducting technical analyses and reservoir simulation, to support optimal development planning, production forecasting, reserve estimation, in alignment with company goals and SKK Migas expectations.

Main Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare reservoir engineering and production data (pressure, PVT, Welltest, production history, SCAL, etc.) from wells and fields.

2. Perform reservoir engineering analysis (e.g., material balance, decline curve, pressure transient analysis, etc) under supervision.

3. Assist in building and updating reservoir simulation models (e.g., Eclipse, TNav)

4. Perform basic reservoir surveillance and well performance monitoring.

5. Prepare reserves reporting for SKK Migas and Internal KUFPEC.

6. Support geoscientists and subsurface teams in conducting subsurface studies.

7. Support in preparing technical reports and presentations for internal management and SKK Migas.

8. Participate in well intervention or field development studies as assigned by the senior engineer.

9. Support drilling operation including well proposal preparation, execution and monitoring.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering.

• Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years of experience in a reservoir/petroleum engineering role is an advantage.

• Internship or final project experience with a PSC/KKKS or subsurface consultancy is an advantage.

• Proficient in spoken and written English.

• Good understanding of reservoir engineering principles: material balance, decline curve, recovery mechanisms, well test interpretation, reservoir simulation, etc.

• Familiar with industry software such as MBAL, OFM, Prosper, KAPPA, Eclipse, TNav.

• Awareness of field development planning and reserves classification (SKKMigas PTK and SPE PRMS).

• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and under time constraints.

• Ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.

 

Geologist (Code: GEOS)

Job Summary

The Geologist is responsible for analyzing and interpreting geological data (including seismic, well logs, core samples, and other subsurface information) in both exploration and development areas, to support the identification of economically viable hydrocarbon prospects in alignment with the company's exploration objectives.

Main Job Responsibilities

1. Collect and process subsurface geological data including well logs, cutting samples, core, and mud logs.

2. Create geological cross sections, structure maps, and isopach maps to support field studies.

3. Provide geological input for static modeling in coordination with the geomodeling and reservoir teams.

4. Assist in 2D/3D seismic interpretation under guidance of senior geologists or geophysicists.

5. Support play, lead, and prospect evaluation, and assist in geological reporting.

6. Participate in well planning, geosteering, and post-drill analysis activities.

7. Submit technical documentation and progress reports to supervisors in a timely manner.

8. Support exploration or development activities as required by the company.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology from a reputable university.

• Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years of experience in oil & gas exploration is preferred.

• Internship or final project experience with a PSC/KKKS or geological exploration agency is an advantage.

• Proficient in spoken and written English.

• Strong knowledge of structural geology, sedimentology, stratigraphy, and petroleum systems.

• Familiar with geological software such as Petrel, Kingdom, ArcGIS, or equivalent.

• Understanding of subsurface data including well logs, cores, cuttings, and basic seismic interpretation.

• Awareness of the exploration and development workflow in upstream oil & gas.

• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

• Ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.

 

Finance & Tax Officer (Code: FTO)

Job Summary

The Finance Tax Officer is responsible for carrying out day-to-day accounting and tax compliance activities in the Indonesia Area Office. Ensures accurate bookkeeping, preparation of basic financial reports, and timely compliance with tax obligations in accordance with applicable regulations. This position provides operational support to the Senior Finance & Tax Officer, particularly in financial analysis, planning, and handling of complex tax matters.

Main Job Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

•   Record daily financial transactions (revenue, expenses, accruals, intercompany)

• Maintain and update general ledger and monthly trial balance.

• Assist with reconciliation of bank, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other accounts on a regular basis.

• Prepare basic financial reports (monthly closing package) for review by the Senior Finance & Tax Officer.

2.  Tax Compliance & Reporting

• Prepare draft monthly and annual tax returns (VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax – Article 21/23).

• Ensure completeness of supporting documentation for tax reporting.

• Assist in monitoring tax payment deadlines and submission of SPT (tax returns).

• Coordinate with external tax consultants on routine compliance matters.

3.  Support to Senior Officer

• Provide data and preliminary analysis to support financial and tax reporting.

• Assist during internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation.

• Support correspondence with tax authorities for standard documentation requests.

4.  Administration & Coordination

• Maintain systematic filing of tax and financial documents.

• Coordinate with operational and administrative teams to ensure completeness of transaction data.

• Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACCA/CMA preferred).

• Minimum 6 years of experience in financial accounting and tax management, with experience in the Oil & Gas sector preferred.

• Proficiency in English, strong knowledge of tax regulations, and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with GST, royalty, PSAK and corporate tax calculations.
