Key Responsibilities

The Legal Counsel leads CNGR Indonesia’s legal function, ensuring the delivery and compliance on drafting of permit and legal documents while supporting management with legal opinion.

• Ensuring the Company and its Subsidiaries comply with prevailing laws and regulations in all business activities.

• Monitoring and maintaining all corporate business licenses and permits (including OSS System, Mining License, Port License, EIA, and Land Acquisition).

• Handling contract management systems, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
• Providing legal assistance and support on regulatory, commercial, and corporate matters, including corporate actions.
• Conducting legal research and preparing analyses, summaries, opinions, and reports as required.
• Leading and coordinating legal operations across multiple sites (head office, mining site, smelter project).
• Managing relationships and coordination with government authorities such as ESDM, BKPM, ATR/BPN, and local governments.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university (Master’s degree preferred).
• Licensed Advocate or member of PERADI (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the mining or mineral smelter industry.
• Demonstrated experience with business licensing and permitting processes.
• Strong exposure to mining law, corporate law, and land acquisition processes.
• In-depth knowledge of Indonesian mining and corporate laws, including UU Minerba, investment, and environmental regulations.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills (including JVAs, SPAs, and cooperation agreements).
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
