NES Fircroft; Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer (6 months contract only, Cilegon Based)

 

Role Purpose

Oversee the design, supervision, and delivery of infrastructure projects to ensure they are safe, sustainable, efficient, and completed within budget and schedule constraints.

Key Responsibilities & Outcomes

Design Review

• Assess civil engineering designs for construction and infrastructure projects.

• Verify coordination and integration with other disciplines (mechanical, piping, etc.).

• Evaluate design documents prepared by external consultants.

Design Modification

• Implement interdisciplinary design changes.

• Adapt designs to suit actual site conditions.

• Revise consultant-issued designs following equipment updates.

• Define scope of work and compile necessary supporting documentation.

• Review consultant deliverables, including concurrent CAPEX projects.

• Examine and approve contractor-submitted materials.

Fabrication Oversight

• Approve materials and review General Arrangement (GA) drawings for compliance with design standards.

• Collaborate with the QC team to resolve issues related to rejected materials or workmanship.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare comprehensive reports for each work package and secure Engineering Manager approval.

• Coordinate with designers and drafters on revisions stemming from design changes.

• Liaise with Construction and Procurement teams regarding additional materials or scope adjustments.

• Review cooling tower drawings

• Develop designs for items outside the original project scope.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience as a Civil Engineer.

• Strong background in civil works, particularly concrete, steel, and foundation structures across diverse projects.

• Highly detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality.

• Proficient in civil engineering software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, and similar tools.
