IDX-listed state contractor PT Adhi Karya Tbk (ADHI) said it had acquired a Rp 241.4 billion project to construct port and jetty as part of the ferronikel Halmahera Timur (FeNi Haltim) project owned by state mining firm PT Antam in eastern Halmahera, Maluku.

The company stated on Friday that the project, consisting of solid jetty, LCT Jetty, and liquid jetty, will be completed within 300 days.

State owned gold and nickel company PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk has started the construction works worth US$1.6 billion on its major Feni HalTim project in North Maluku.

Alwinsyah Lubis said the FeNi Halmahera Timur project will have a capacity to produce 27,000 tonnes of nickel-in-matte, with commissioning operation scheduled for end of 2014. The project is developed by Antam?s wholly owned subsidiary PT Feni Haltim (FHT).

Of the $1.6 billion investment to develop the project, around $600 million will be set aside to develop a power plant with a capacity of 275 megawatt (MW).
