Australian-listed firm Augur Resources Ltd has reported that drilling at its Wonogiri gold and copper project has identified a new epithermal prospect, the Gawe prospect, located 690 meters southeast of the Randu Kuning porphyry.

The company said on Thursday that the other results from the exploration of the latest 4 drill holes in Wonogiri, Central Java, include 15.0 meters at 0.60 g/t gold and 3.2g/t silver from 38.0 meters depth; 12.0 metres at 0.25 g/t gold and 1.5 g/t silver from 60.0 metres depth; 22.0 meters at 0.33 g/t gold and 3.1 g/t silver from 84.0 meters; 6.0 metres at 0.35 g/t gold and 6.0 g/t silver from 114.0 meters; and 9.0 meters at 0.48 g/t gold and 5.3 g/t silver from 134.0 meters depth.

It stated that the mineralization in this hole mostly occurred within a dioritic crackle breccia. The extent of this breccia is unknown. Breccias associated with porphyries can be major hosts of mineralisation. The success of this hole highlights the high prospectivity of targets in close proximity to the Randu Kuning porphyry.

The positive gold results from north of the Randu Kuning porphyry include 5.0 metres at 1.39 g/t gold from 79.5 meters in hole WDD029; and 1.0 metre at 1.0 g/t gold from 220.0 meters in hole WDD027.
