Berkwood Resources Ltd. reported an encouraging result from its new soil sampling program on its 100 percent owned Cimandiri Gold Project in West Java.
The company said in Jakarta on Wednesday that soil sampling continued on the Cimandiri Property, utilising two sampling teams. Recent ridge and spur soil sampling in the Lubang Prospect area has returned anomalous gold in soil values and has expanded the previously reported Lubang Prospect area.
This is in addition to grab sampling in the area that returned a result of 5.4g/t as had been reported on January 31, 2012
It said that the Indonesian exploration team, headed by senior geologist Andri Subandrio, had devised the next phase of the soil-sampling program and it had started to work on it.
The program will focus specifically on the Lubang Prospect area. A grid system has been developed, which consists of 7 soil lines at 50m spacing and 10 soils per line, at 25m spacing for a total coverage area of 6.75 Ha. The area of concentration is located in the central part of the Lubang Prospect, which is between the Cipetir Prospect and Cisaru Prospect.
The current phase of soil grid sampling is expected to be completed in the next 30 days and results will be released when received by the company.
