Internet service provider Biznet said it has deployed Ciena WaveLogic 5 Extreme technology on its Biznet Nusantara Cable System-1 submarine cable network to strengthen inter island and international connectivity in Indonesia.

The upgrade will support 400G high speed services across Java, Sumatra, and Bangka islands while increasing network capacity connecting domestic and international networks.

Biznet said the project also improves capacity on the Batam to Singapore link to enhance international gateway connectivity and support growing demand for low latency digital services.

The company is deploying Ciena’s 6500 platform powered by WaveLogic 5 Extreme technology, with implementation support from Singapore based Terrabit Networks.
