Top executives from ExxonMobil Inc?s Dallas headquarters on Tuesday paid a courtesy call to minister of energy and had discussed matters regarding the company?s operations in Indonesia.
?HJ Longwell and John Cousins from Dallas headquarters and the Minister Purnomo had a discussion regarding ExxonMobil?s operations in Arun, East Natuna, Cepu and Madura,? said Ron Wilson, ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia president over the phone interview Tuesday.
Wilson did not tell the detail of the meeting, but a government official who was present at the meeting said one of the main topics of the meeting was about the stalled negotiation between ExxonMobil and Pertamina over Cepu giant oilfields. Tlaks had been ongoing for more than a year regarding Pertamina?s demand for 35-50 percent equity participation in Cepu oil block in return for the block?s contract renewal, which will expire in 2010.
