Finders says forestry rezoning process is near completion

Australia-listed firm Finders Resources Limited said that forestry rezoning, especially on its gazetting process of new spatial plan for Maluku province is near completion, notwithstanding administrative delays that have occurred in recent weeks.
A letter received from Maluku?s Department of Regional Planning and Development informed that the integrated team responsible for processing of final documentation for gazettal completed the documentation in the second week of April.
The company said in the statement that the release of hard copy maps for formal signing by the Regents, Mayors and Governor of Maluku is now pending authorization by the Minister of Forestry.
The delineated non-forestry areas in northern Wetar form part of the new Maluku spatial plan.
