Singapore-based Hudson Minerals Holdings Pte Ltd has suspended the services of a mining contractor initially contracted to develop its iron ore mining in Aie Dingin, West Sumatra, and appointed a new one to avoid further production delay.

The firm admitted that there has been a delay in the commencement of production in the site due to the mining contractor initially contracted to develop the site. ?Their services have now been suspended and a new contractor appointed,? it said in a statement.

The company expects the development will now proceed in a timely manner now that a new contractor has been appointed. The mine is operated by PT Denichi Amina Selaras, which is 80 percent owned by Hudson.
