Indonesia Nickel Association is planning to file for a judicial review on the Ministerial Regulation No. 7/2012 regarding Minerals Value Added by Mineral Processing and Refining Activities. Indonesia Nickel Association's chairman Shelby Ihsan Saleh stated that the Association is currently reviewing the regulation in preparing for the filing action.
According to Shelby, the Government cannot by force apply the regulation of banning the export of raw material in three month or effective in May 2012. "There are still more things that should be given proper considerations, and cannot be forcedfully expected to be done in such a short time," said Shelby to Petromindo.com. "It's about the law, and it should be clear," he said.
Established since 2008, Indonesia Nickel Association currently has about 70 members which are all IUP holders.
