Intrepid names Machribie non-executive director

Australian firm Intrepid Mines Limited announced on Wednesday appointment of Adrianto Machribie Reksohadiprodjo to the board as a non-executive director, effective 30 November 2011.

Over a period of nineteen years, Machribie held various positions with the Freeport Group, serving as President Director of PT Freeport Indonesia for eleven years until 2006 and subsequently as Commissioner of that company until his retirement earlier this year. He remains a personal advisor to the Freeport chairman.

Machribie is also an advisor to the Board of the Indonesian Mining Association

He is currently the President Director of Metro TV, a 24 hour Indonesian news channel and President Commissioner of investment company PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya. Prior positions held by him include senior management roles with Shell Indonesia and Unilever in the Netherlands.
