Kalimantan Gold, Freeport to start drilling Kalimantan copper, gold prospect

Vancouver-based mineral exploration firm Kalimantan Gold Corporation Limited and its JV partner, a wholly owned subsidiary of Freeport-McMoRan Exploration Corporation are preparing drilling program at KSK Contract of Work copper, gold prospect in Central Kalimantan.

?It is expected that drilling will commence shortly after the receipt of a forestry permit that will give the rights to the holder to carry out mineral exploration activities within the KSK CoW area. The issuance of the forestry permit is expected soon,? the company said.

Meanwhile, the company also reported that Tigers Realm Minerals Pty Ltd, with which it has option agreement, will start drilling at its Jelai gold prospect in East Kalimantan on December 15, 2011 after forestry permit is secured on November 7, 2011.(romel)
