Vancouver-based mineral exploration firm Kalimantan Gold Corporation Limited (KGC), under its joint venture with Tigers Realm Minerals Pty Ltd.(Tigers), has recently announced the completion of its community consultation program in relation to its planned Jelai Gold project in Central Kalimantan, stating that it had managed to secure full support from the local government, community and village leaders.

The company has also planned to conduct community development programs (CSR) prior to exploration activities, involving more than one hundred local community members from three villages to be trained and mentored by KGC and Tiger's multi-disciplined community team in the aspects of cultivation, farming, animal husbandry, accounting and small business development.

The joint company reported the completion of several activities initiated by technical teams from both KGC and Tigers, including the refurbishment of its office in Tanjung Selor, construction of base camp and camp in Mewet Prospect to accommodate drilling activities, as well as the repairing of 50 percent access road to drill and base camp. The technical teams have also signed contracts for key supplies such as fuel, and have surveyed access trail and spotted the first drill hole.

The Mewet base camp is expected to be completed at the start of March, while drilling is expected to start immediately after completion of the camp. The first proposed hole (KTR-MEW1100-001) is targeting high grade shoots at deeper levels of the epithermal gold - silver mineralization intersected in KGC's JCM-067 (9.50m @ 7.08 g/t Au).

PT Indodrill Indonesia has been appointed to conduct the Phase I drilling program for approximately 30 holes, with depths accumulatively amounting to 8,000 meters .
