Latinusa suffers losses in 2011

Indonesia listed tinplate producer PT Pelat Timah Nusantara, or Latinusa, fell into the red last year as sales declined.
Latinusa said in a statement that the company suffered Rp19.3 billion in losses in 2011, from Rp74.6 billion profits a year earlier, as sales decreased by 7 percent to Rp1.26 trillion from Rp1.36 trillion.
Latinusa produces all types of tinplate under the ASTM, JIS, ISO, and Euronom standards. According to its website, the majority shareholders are presently Japan Consortium (Nippon Steel Corp., Mitsui Co. Ltd., Nippon Steel Trading Co. and Metal One).(*)
