Petral to get new president

State oil and Gas Company Pertamina said Thursday it would replace president director of its trading arm Pertamina Energy Trading Limited (Petral) on Friday.
Pertamina downstream director Harry Purnomo said Ari Soemarno, a Pertamina senior official and also elder brother of Minister of Trade Rini Soewandi, would replace incumbent Soekono Wahjoe.
Petral?s primary business objectives are to develop and maintain markets for Indonesian crude oil and products and to source foreign crude oil and products to supply to Pertamina. PETR?L also trade Indonesian as well as foreign crude oil and products.
According to the company?s website, Petral handled crude and products movement of 320,000 barrels per day in 2002.
Petral is seeking listing in overseas bourse in 2007. (arry)
