PTPP books 121% jump in January new contracts

PT PP (Persero) Tbk said on Friday it secured Rp 2.76 trillion in new contracts in January 2026, up 120.8% from a year earlier, driven largely by government-funded projects.

The state-controlled construction firm said government projects accounted for 73.31% of total new contracts, followed by state-owned enterprises at 25.20% and private sector projects at 1.49%.

By business segment, building projects made up 43.28% of the new contracts, followed by roads and bridges at 26.64%, smelter and mining projects at 25.20%, water and waste treatment at 4.18%, water infrastructure at 0.54% and oil and gas facilities at 0.16%.

Major contracts secured in January include the Attorney General’s Office Pidum and Datum office building project worth Rp 820.7 billion, the Medan Metropolitan Membidang bus rapid transit (BRT) development project valued at Rp 538.5 billion, the Mempawah bauxite mining project worth Rp 478.6 billion and the Aceh disaster mitigation project valued at Rp 341.7 billion.

Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo said the strong start to the year provides momentum for the company to maintain performance growth in 2026 despite ongoing challenges in the construction industry.

PTPP said it will focus on selective bidding, timely project execution and prudent risk management to sustain performance this year.
