Release: Terra Firma updates project status and strategies

Thursday, April 12 2012 - 12:50 AM WIB

Terra Firma Resources wishes to update its shareholders on the Company's project status and corporate strategies. The Company has determined that greater clarity is required on the practical implementation and effects of the recently announced Indonesian government regulation (No.24/2012), pursuant to which international mining companies in Indonesia will be required to divest 51% of their interests in Indonesian mining projects by year 10 of production.

Therefore the Company will put on hold any further activity in Indonesia and will change its focus to mineral prospects in Canada. The Company intends to revisit its interests in Indonesia if and when it obtains sufficient clarification of the impact of the decree on international mining companies.

The Company is in the process of reviewing and conducting early negotiations on various projects in Eastern Canada and British Columbia, and will provide an update when further progress had been made respecting these projects. (ends)
