Flooding in parts of East and South Kalimantan continues to hamper production, keeping supply tight, particularly for low c.v. material. “It has been raining non-stop until morning. It’s too slippery for us to operate,” a source from low c.v. miner in South Kalimantan said. A low-rank deal was heard done at around $60.00/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc GAR, for a June loading Panamax, although this could not be confirmed at the time of writing. A bid was reported at $55.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a June loading Panamax. A geared vessel loading in June was reported bid at $52.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR. A market for a July loading geared vessel was heard bid at $54.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, against an offer at $57.00/t FOB, same basis. On an index-linked basis, a bid was reported at M42 plus $1.00/t for a July loading geared vessel of 3,800 kc NAR material.

M42 traded for June at $55.75-57.50, up from where June last traded the previous day at $55.25. July also traded at $53.75-54.50, up on the last transaction level of $53.25. During the day, M42 was bid at $55.50 and offered at $56.40 for May, while June was bid at $56.00 and offered at $56.25. July was bid at $54.00 and offered at $54.25. Further out, Q4-21 was bid at $41.00. A spread for June vs July was bid at M42 plus $1.75 and offered $2.75, and July vs August was bid at plus $1.00 and offered at plus $2.25. August vs September was also bid at M42 plus $1.00 an offered at plus $2.00.
