Upstream oil and gas regulator SKK Migas witnessed the signing of 11 gas sales and LNG supply agreements during the Indonesian Petroleum Association Convention and Exhibition (IPA Convex) 2026 on Wednesday, as Indonesia seeks to strengthen domestic gas and LNG supply security.
The agreements include a combination of Gas Sales Agreements (GSA), Amendment and Restatement Gas Sales Agreements (AR GSA), amendment agreements, key terms agreements, and Heads of Agreement (HoA) involving upstream producers, state-owned energy companies and industrial consumers.
PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGN), Pertamina’s gas subholding, said the agreements form part of its long-term strategy to strengthen the sustainability and flexibility of domestic natural gas and LNG supply amid rising national energy demand.
“PGN continues to strengthen the integrated management of natural gas supplies through a combination of pipeline gas and domestically sourced LNG,” PGN Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman said in a statement.

PGN said several agreements are aimed at strengthening domestic pipeline gas supply, including contract extensions for gas supply from the Corridor and Husky-CNOOC Madura Limited (HCML) working areas, as well as future supply from the Sakakemang block operated by Medco E&P.
At the same time, the LNG agreements are intended to improve supply flexibility through LNG-based distribution and support long-term LNG procurement.
PGN also announced the signing of additional Heads of Agreement for the LNG North Hub project and the planned purchase of LNG from the Abadi Masela project as part of efforts to secure long-term LNG supply.
According to Fajriyah, the integration of pipeline gas and LNG supply from multiple domestic sources would strengthen PGN’s ability to serve existing industrial centers and emerging demand regions.
“This collaboration further reinforces PGN’s role as an integrator of national natural gas infrastructure and supply,” she said.
“Through integrated supply management, PGN together with the Pertamina Group is striving to maintain national energy reliability while supporting economic growth and the transition toward lower-emission energy,” she added.
