Sumber Prima to operate new mining block

Tin and bauxite producer PT Sumber Prima Lestari (SPL) has said that the company would operate a new mining block in Riau Island to ramp up its tin and bauxite production this year.
Project Manager of SPL, Darwis Fensury said that the company currently operates one block covering 1,400 hectare in Riau Island with the monthly output of tin reaching 20 tons and of bauxite around 125,000 tons.
?We export all of the production (of tin and bauxite) to China,? he said without elaborating the expected production target from its new block.
