Vale Indonesia appoints new commissioners

Vale Indonesia, nickel mining subsidiary of Canadian Vale Canada (formerly Vale Inco Ltd) has appointed new commissioners during the company's annual shareholders' general meeting today in Jakarta.
Conor Spollen, was appointed to replace Arif Siregar, and Mikinobu Ogata was appointed to replace Takeshi Kubota.
Below is the list of the new board of commissioners at the completion of the meeting:
Ricardo Carvalho : President Commissioner
Arief Surowidjojo : Vice President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner
Peter Poppinga : Commissioner
Mark Travers : Commissioner
Jennifer Maki : Commissioner
Conor Spollen : Commissioner
Harumasa Kurokawa : Commissioner
Mikinobu Ogata: Commissioner
Irwandy Arif : Independent Commissioner
Idrus Paturusi : Independent Commissioner
The meeting also decided to re-appoint members of the board of directors to resume their respective positions, namely Nico Kanter as President Director, Bernardus Irmanto as Vice President Director as well as Fabio Bechara as Director. The company didn't make any replacement with its board of directors.
PT Vale Indonesia Tbk was first established in Indonesia in 1968 as PT International Nickel Indonesia, a subsidiary of then Inco Limited of Canada. Currently the company is a holder of first generation contract of work (CoW) comprising 218,528 hectares of concessions in Sorowako, Luwu Timur regency in South Sulawesi, Pomalaa, Kolaka regency in Southeast Sulawesi and Bahodopi regency in Central Sulawesi.
