We are seeking experienced people for the following positions:

Engineer Drill and Blast (926700)

(Sangatta)

In this role you will:

• Provide drill & blast planning service which guides the mining operation towards the long term & profitability

• Provide daily, weekly and monthly planning to support production target in most cost- effective way in safety manner

• Provide daily and monthly report for drill and blast actual production including but not limited to total drill depth, total blasted volume, explosive usage, drill and blast cost

• Control drill and blast activities to avoid any operational issues, e.g. hard digging case, coal losses, mining delay, standby equipment, and blasting permit

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering with 5 years’ experience in similar role as engineer drill & blast; hold certificate Blaster Class II; understanding of Mining and Construction Technology, Mining Equipment and Applications, Engineering Principles; understanding and demonstrate of Engineering software and Computer Data Management; possess government certification of POP (Pratama Competency Test); 

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and proficient in computer literacy; strong leadership; self-motivated; team player; supportive; innovative, problem solving, think strategically; communicative; and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits.

Engineer Mine Planning (926699)

In this role you will:

• Design a safe and cost effective mine plans and ensure they are issued ahead of time

• Provide the technical mine design, scheduling and monitoring function for the mining operation

• Ensure designs are discussed with mine planning personnel and consensus is reached on the design approach

• Participate, provide input to and discuss the mining plan and any innovations, or issues with Technical Services and Production personnel

• Monitor and control dump areas, haul distance, and equipment productivities; monitor the direction of the mining operation to ensure schedules are being followed and advice on the implications of variances from schedule; provide feedback to the Mine Planning Superintendent and the Engineering group to keep them informed of any changes of sequence required in the pit;

• Prepare appropriate summaries and statistics of equipment (costs, performance, availability, and utilization), material movement, and inventory levels

What skills and experience do you need?

• A minimum Bachelor Degree in Mining or Geological Engineering. Have experience in mining operation practice is preferable, with minimum of 3 years’ experience on Mining Engineering practice as Engineer Mine Planning/ Long Term

• The candidate should have Mine design concepts & operations in coal mining, scheduling, and planning skill.

• Having strong motivation, English proficiency spoken and written, supportive, communicative, hard worker, self-motivation, team player, and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits.

Engineer Fleet Management System (926701)

Some of your duties will include:

• Manage the collecting and recording of fleet activity, analyse, take corrective action and report the performance.

• Ensure all equipment utilized properly

• Manage the circuit of each production digger optimized

• Deliver and manage team member to comply within jobs and tasks

• Ensure all the recorded data accurate to eliminate the error in the decision making in mining operation fleet management system

• Review, analyse, and take action immediately for unproductive activity to minimize the production loss.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Engineering Degree preferred from Mining/ Geology/ IT/ Industrial; with minimum of 3 year’s professional experience in similar role in large open cut mining and mine engineering;

• Proficient Advance Skill on JIGSAW system including the network, hardware, software, and the optimization; Proficient Skill on Mining Operation Optimization and Engineering; Broad understanding Mining Operation, Engineering, and Technology

• The candidate should have good interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written in English; possess leadership trait; self-motivated; team player.

Senior Engineer Mining (926707)

Some of your duties will include:

• Provide technical design and support for mining engineering activities to maximize productivities in the most cost effective and efficient manner;

• Ensuring a safe professional environment is maintained;

• Provide daily advice to production personnel on the required direction of mining to achieve scheduled sequences and targets;

• Coordination with Senior Mining Supervisor to ensure OB quality;

• Coordination with Drill and Blast Engineer and Supervisor to manage blasting sequence;

• Manage cost of drilling and blasting;

• Coordination with client and Senior Mining Supervisor to ensure mine sequence, dump sequence following pit design and productivity achievement;

• Weekly coordination with client and Senior Mining Supervisor regarding equipment allocation, production targets, mine sequence, etc.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum of Bachelor degree of Mine Engineering;

• Minimum of 7 years in site experience;

• Proficient in mining principles, mine design concepts & operations in both coal, mine operation regulatory requirements;

• Proven skills in Mine Scheduling tools utilising software such as Minescape and Xpac will be an advantage

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical and focus on detail;

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written;

• Computer literate.

EOI Engineer Mining (926706)

(Melak)

Some of your duties will include:

• Evaluate and analyse project performance data related to productivity, cost & safety utilising company’s standard systems in order to ensure data reliability

• Contribute to the development of the short term detailed mine execution plans to integrate with the mining operations;

• Contribute to monitor and coordinate engineering activities to ensure efficient production of engineering plans to meet contract program requirements;

• Analyse and identify engineering problems in order to propose solutions and expedite actions regarding the client agreement where necessary;

• Review client plans and requests to ensure the requirements defined are incorporated in the works and the responsibilities allocated under the project quality system and understood and implemented;

• Prepare data for the progress claim report to be reviewed by the Engineering Superintendent;

• Collect data related to subcontractor performance in order to prepare summary reports required for the project;

• Support and cooperate with site survey team in order to analyse progress surveys and haul profile surveys;

• Coaching and mentoring of graduate mining engineers, and technical assistants in order to provide technical support;

• Involve as part of team member to implement the OHS and Quality as per government and Thiess standard.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum of Bachelor degree of Mining Engineering with minimum of 5 years’ experience in open pit coal mining operation, previous experience at a mine site preferred and minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role as Engineer Mining / ShortTerm;

• Proficient in mining principles, mine design concepts & operations in both coal, mine operation regulatory requirements; Proficient in geological modelling, proven skills in Mine Scheduling tools utilising software such as Minescape, Xpac, Talpac will be an advantage; possess government certification of POP (Pratama Competency Test);

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical, responsible and adaptable; Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; and computer literate.

EOI Superintendent Plant (926702)

Some of your duties will include:

• Lead and manage plant operational activities on site;

• Ensure plant operational activities are completed in a safe, timely, efficient, environmentally aware and cost conscious manner;

• Ensure all mechanical inspection are carried out in detail and filed correctly;

• Ensure all necessary actions are taken to rectify any faults identified by the inspections, in accordance with the correct procedures ;

• Quality assurance for all workshop and field tasks, achieved by continual monitoring of work in progress and the procedures that are being used;

• Ensure there is effective utilization of plant personnel and resources to achieve optimum performance in all facets ;

• Ensure when approving store issues that that parts are required and the most cost effective repair option is being used, this includes the option of alternative brand parts

• Participate in the planning process to manage forward purchasing activities for components and parts;

• Manage the relevant mobile and static plant assets to ensure 90%and 100% availability by proactive and continuous improvements to the asset base;

• Lead, organise and provide direction for employees to ensure required performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes and the business results;

• Proactively train workforce to meet plant operational requirements;

• Liaise with OEM’s, Dealers and Suppliers to optimise plant operational and cost performance.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Have minimum Trade Qualifications or Maintenance / Engineering qualification with minimum 15 years trade experience in mining/heavy equipment; Staff Management;

• Understanding the heavy plant business; People handling skill; diagnostic skills in all aspects of mechanical repairs;

• Mechanic experience on Thiess equipment e.g.  Cat, Komatsu, Liebherr, Coal hauling and lifting equipment;

• Knowledge of welding procedures;

• IT Literacy

Supervisor Mining (926703)

Some of your duties will include:

• To coordinate all operators and employees mining crew in the workplace of the removal of overburden/interburden in a safe, effective manner on time and within budget in a designated area and Safe for Everyone in workplace area

• To achieve daily targets of machine utilization for their area and ensure that crews are achieving productivity target for their area

• Develop employees through training, coaching and experience to ensure maximum performance in current role and to ensure employees are capable of advancing to meet future growth of business

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum Senior High School; Good English and can operate mining equipment

• Previous experience in a similar role at least two years in gold mine company

• A minimum of 5 years professional experience in large open cut mining operation of which at least one or two years in production/service Leading Hand/ management role.

• Mining heavy industry experience is essential

Superintendent Mining Technology (926708)

Some of your duties will include:

• Identify areas where site personnel may require further training

• Identify areas where team members may require further training

• Provide preliminary systems support and informal training to project personnel

• Troubleshoot system issues and escalate as required

• Monitor progress of tasks to meet business priorities

• Accurate and timely entry of data

• Produce monthly and AdHoc reporting for internal and external stakeholders

• Facilitate processes and reconciliations within the mining technology

• Promote adherence to infoMINE & FMS process’s by project personnel

• Review output data and processes and make recommendations on operational improvements

• Ensure review activities are undertaken by site personnel per infoMINE & FMS requirements

• Review reporting for inaccuracies and rectify

• Provide analysis and commentary with reporting when required

• Coordinate peer audits of completed tasks

• Capture and identify the spread of ideas for improvement

• Identify opportunities in deliver the cost-effective technology to support business growth

• Leading the implementation of Mining Technology Cycle across Indonesia

• Manage, influence and empower direct reports to execute tasks

• Lead, coach and develop team members by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance and mentoring team members

• Provide clear performance expectations to personnel and contractors and reinforce correct behaviour through recognition and encouragement as well as application of timely disciplinary procedures
