An Indonesian mining company which operates the copper and gold mining, and have a long-term expected mine life followed by processing stockpiles.

To support our EPC Project – Mill Process Fixed Plant Expansion, we require someone who is able to adapt with dynamic and under pressure environment to be carried out with rapid progress, highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the following position:

DEPUTY CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING MANAGER (EPC - MILL FIXED PLANT)

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Establish the construction management function for the project, considering existing company project management, contracting and construction procedures.

• Manage and schedule all construction activities, including site establishment and site preparation.

• Manage the construction safety program. Have regular meetings with the Safety Manager to review adherence to the procedures, to identify risks and areas for improvement.

• Manage the construction schedule. Create and distribute a three-week look-ahead schedule; review with scheduler as needed to clarify input of current schedule impacts to the project master schedule. Have regular meetings with the Project Controls Manager to review adherence to the baseline schedule, identify risks and areas for improvement.

• Manage the construction quality plans. Have regular meetings with the Quality Manager to review adherence to the quality procedures.

• Manage the construction budget. Have regular meetings with the Project Controls Manager to review adherence to the approved budget.

• Manage the construction and erection contractors in terms of the relevant contracts. Have regular contract review meetings with the Commercial Manager to review adherence to contractual requirements.

• Responsible to maintain all construction records.

• Maintain a daily construction log and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.

• Work with Contractors to mitigate variator orders; communicate to project team potential impact; work with PM and Engineering Contractor to formulate solutions which minimize overall cost impact to project.

• Review and advise PM regarding Contractors’ related RFI questions, potential solutions and potential impacts to quality and schedule; maintain file of RFIs submitted and answered for access at project site.

• Assist the Commercial Manager to review contractor bids and to implement construction contracts. Negotiate technical and schedule conditions with equipment suppliers and construction contractors.

• Effectively implements and manages plans, actions, procedures, and improvement strategies decided by the project management team.

• Submit necessary reports and recommendations to the Project Manager concerning project status and problems.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum 15 years project-based construction management experience, of which at least 5 years in a similar or equivalent position, as EPC construction manager.

• Completed at least two CCGT projects, with multiple (>3 units), as EPC construction manager.

• National/regional experience will be a distinct advantage.

• Good knowledge of construction and erection contracts and standards.

• Strong communicator, self-assured, able to work independently.

• A thorough understanding of the project cycle, the ability to prioritise activities and to drive it to completion and to anticipate pinch points.

• Experienced in developing and implementing procedures and systems.

PROJECT HR MANAGER (EPC - MILL FIXED PLANT)

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

SUPT. MECHANICAL & PIPING (EPC - MILL FIXED PLANT)

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible to prepare detailed MTO's (Material Take-Offs) and BOM's (Bills of Quantities);

• Prepare detailed cost estimates in accordance with the Project Management System and sound industry practice;

• Support projects in the start-up and execution phase as required; to provide technical direction for all engineering works from contract award through to commissioning phase; plan and control permanent material purchases; expediting procurement and logistics to ensure site crew have all the required materials, equipment, manpower and services on schedule; and, ensure that planning and programming of site activities and procurement is monitored to meet and achieve required milestones;

• Actively assist the estimating department to continually enhance estimating procedures and processes;

• Quality all and any assumption made in preparation of the MTO/BOQ's for discussion with the Project Manager to ensure that appropriate allowances (contingencies) or clarifications are included on site;

• Check Data Sheets, Specification, scope of work for request, technical clarification, and technical evaluation of Vendor Equipment.

• Directly in-charge in the field inspection activities of all mechanical and piping and its coordination to client and Company group and ensure that all mechanical and piping equipment in accordance with project specifications, standard practices, code and standards.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor degree preferable from Mechanical engineering

• Have minimum 12 years’ experience in EPC / Civil Construction industry preferable have exposure in Mill Expansion Project for Mineral Processing Plant, which at least 5 years in a similar or equivalent position as Superintendent Mechanical Piping,  and minimum 3 years in site based with demonstrated project management;

• Good knowledge of Microsoft project or other industry software such as AutoCAD, CATS; Have an understanding of construction regulations, industry codes and standard, workplace health & safety regulation, quality assurance, construction cost and processes; General knowledge of site man hour productivity rates and equipment utilization;

• Have Frontline level operational inspector certificate (POP) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position;

SUPT. CIVIL – CRUSHING/CONVEYING (EPC - MILL FIXED PLANT)

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Manage construction activities related to the installation of the crusher and conveying facilities in the processing plant.

• Develop and implement the construction execution plan and schedule, ensuring that all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

• Lead and mentor a team of construction personnel and contractors, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest quality standards and within budget and schedule constraints.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure that the construction activities are aligned with the project objectives and timelines.

• Coordinate with other functional areas such as engineering, procurement, and commissioning to ensure smooth handover and start-up of the crusher and conveying facilities.

• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental policies and regulations during construction activities.

• Identify and manage construction risks and issues, providing timely reporting and resolution plans to stakeholders.

SUPT. QUALITY – MECHANICAL & PIPING (EPC - MILL FIXED PLANT)

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Monitors all stages of construction to identify potential problems. Reports problems and recommends solutions to the Project Manager

• Verify subcontractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals.

• Schedules material delivery, work crews and subcontractor activities to ensure timely completion.

• Monitor methods and procedures employed to ensure conformance with contract policies and government regulations.

• Audits, analyzes, and provides evaluation of performance to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, stipulations, and standards

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, installation per specification, and proper materials are procured, verified, secured, and protected on site

• Interface with the client and other consultants to develop construction specifications and facility requirements

• Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications

• Lead and facilitate the overall cross-functional project team regarding construction quality reviews, document verification, installation verification, fit and finish.

• Identifying opportunities to improve construction quality reviews, procedures, templates, and products.

• Identify and ensure that the client and project leadership is aware of quality, safety, health, and environment issues.

• Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems to be utilized to track and resolve construction quality and open items.

• Ensure the Contracting Officer Technical Representative’s (COTR) satisfaction for contract compliance in the performance of the works and coordination with the end user

What skills and experience do you need?

• BS degree preferred (Construction Mgmt. or Engineering)

• 10+ years of successful experience in a similar capacity, on a similar/relevant project(s)

• Proficient in construction documentation and drawing literate with knowledge of all phases of construction, divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control

• Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.

SR. SITE PLANNER (EPC - MILL FIXED PLANT)

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• This role will report directly to the Project Lead Planner within the Project Controls team and support the Construction Management team.

• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment as well as independently to deliver Project milestones. T

• Support Project Lead Planner with Project Master Schedule including integration of approved Contractor’s schedule.

• Motivate and drive Contractor, to improve and optimise Contractor’s schedule to deliver best outcomes for the Project.

• Perform critical analysis of project and Contractor’s schedule, including critical and risk analysis, trends and issues. Ability to facilitate / perform schedule risk analysis task.

• Maintain and support Project Lead Planner with progress tracking for both project, and Contractor support.

What skills and experience do you need?

• 8-10 years experience as planner / scheduler on capital projects involved in engineering and construction phases.

• Expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft suite is critical.

• Experience in other planning software (i.e. Microsoft Project), Microsoft PowerBi is desired.

• Demonstrated knowledge in Project Management principles with experience in risk analysis, progress tracking and forecasting.

• Has previous experience in the mining or petrochemical industries to support capital projects in all project stages / phases.

• Strong communication skills in the both oral and written.

• Has demonstrated previous site experience and has a willingness to work on site.

SR. QUANTITY SURVEYOR (EPC - MILL FIXED PLANT)

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Monitor, analyse, forecast and report on construction contractors installed quantities to ensure that the Contractors are paid for the actual built quantities.

• Write contractors’ invoices, and coordinate with relevant departments/personnel to obtain or provide the needed data (g. quantity take-offs) for correct and accurate charge of payment amounts and/or for issuing the invoices.

• Review quantity surveying for contractors, and coordinate with relevant personnel for issuing payment invoices, or review, issue, and sign the invoices if authorized.

• Meet with project’s contractors to handle any problems or conflicts for smooth flow of work operations.

• Write and submit a report, whenever required, to compare between quantity take-offs of contractors to identify any conflicts or inconsistencies; and submit to Cost Control for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

• Liaise with the Planning team on-site to provide needed data to support relevant decisions; and obtain needed data about subcontractors’ deals for writing and issuing clients’ invoices.

• Undertake breakdown of Variation Orders (VOs).

• Participate in final inspection and prepare “punch lists”.

• Review P6 schedule progress to ensure that invoiced amounts are in line with actual installed works. 

• Participate in the preparation of technical information for Field Change Requests and Change Orders.

• Monitor quantity growth and support Trend analysis.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor’s Degree in architectural or Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering with 12 years’ experience in the Mill Expansion Processing Plant / EPC Industry; On-site experience Construction)

• Must have had 4 years’ experience in similar role as Quantity Surveyor

• Prior experience in evaluation claims from contractors and responding to contractors contractually.

• Experience working in P6 and establishing and reviewing baseline schedules

• Experience in Quantity Take-offs

• Experience in Contracts terms and conditions and applying the contract conditions to the measurement of the work

• Prior Indonesia construction experience is desirable

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D and other Autodesk Programs, Microsoft Excel and Primavera P6 and other related Quantity Surveying Software. Good in computer applications especially excel.

• Must be knowledgeable in various construction field including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation.

• Candidate should possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to work closely with peers, external customers, and client counterparts.

SPEC. / SENIOR CONTRACT ADMIN. (EPC - MILL FIXED PLANT)

Some of your duties will include:

• Assist manager to ensure successful procurement of goods and services through effective contracting in terms of costs, quality, quantity, services and availability.

• Responsible for contract administration for the process fixed plant engineering and construction projects;

• Asist to implement existing procedures and establish new procedures where required. Required for internal working procedures and external procedures that will be applicable to contractors and vendors.

• Assist to ensure all contracts are commercially sound, mitigating risk for the project and conforming to project and company procedures and good international practice.

• Assist to manage the engineering works, equipment supply and construction contracts from inception to completion, ensuring all conditions are met, risks and costs are managed, claims against the project are avoided and claims against the contractors are identified and processed.

• Assist to negotiate agreements and contracts with suppliers of complex technical equipment to obtain the best prices, payment terms, terms and conditions and warranties.

• 10 years of experience in contract administration with 5 of those years working as Senior Contract Administrator in Process Fixed Plant Construction / EPC Industry;

• Experience in purchasing high dollar items and preparing complex Purchase Orders or Purchase Contracts;

• Very good knowledge of FIDIC engineering, construction and equipment supply contracts; Very good knowledge of BOM/BOQ construction contracts.

• A thorough understanding of the project cycle, the ability to prioritise activities and to drive it to completion and to anticipate pinch points; Experienced in developing and implementing procedures and systems; Experienced in planning and executing project, construction and commissioning activities from a commercial and procurement perspective;

PROCUREMENT LEAD (EPC - MILL FIXED PLANT)

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Assist to establish the procurement and logistics function for the project, taking into account the role and capabilities of the existing logistics departments.

• Assist to implement existing procedures and establish new procedures where required. Required for internal working procedures and external procedures that will be applicable to contractors and vendors.

• Assist to establish supply chains for equipment, goods and materials and commodity items.

• Coordinate the manufacturing and supply of equipment and packaged equipment and manage the logistics of delivering all purchased items to site in line with the project schedule.

• Assist to negotiate agreements and contracts with suppliers of complex technical equipment to obtain the best prices, payment terms, terms and conditions and warranties.

• Effectively implements and manages plans, actions, procedures, and improvement strategies decided by the project management team. Supports business needs and ensures the cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, efficient flow of materials to the project and the timely movement of goods and services.

• Assist to ensure vendor product quality and managing suppliers to ensure compliance with the Vendor Quality Assurance and Sustainability policies

• Coordinate the procurement and logistics schedule with the support of internal and external project stakeholders.

• During construction and commissioning, ensure that the correct documentation, drawings and other technical information related to procurement and logistics are made available to the site teams.

• Investigate and solve technical issues relating to procurement and logistics that will come up during construction and commissioning.

• Assist to establish procedures and manage the process for controlling the quality of received items and for rectification of deviations.

• Submit necessary reports and recommendations to the Project Manager concerning project status and problems.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum 10 years project-based procurement and logistics management, of which at least 5 years in a similar or equivalent position.

• Very good knowledge of FIDIC engineering, construction and equipment supply contracts.

• Strong communicator, self-assured, able to work independently.

HSE INSPECTOR (EPC - MILL FIXED PLANT)

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Ensure responsibilities outlined in the HSE Management Plan are understood and adhered to by all personnel.

• Liaise with contractors and PTAMNT Operations in relation to HSE  activities.

• Audits compliance to PTAMNT safety rules and policies, procedures and programs as well as Indonesian Government requirements.

• Assists Departmental Managers in the implementation/Supervision of HSE activities.

• Support in the implementation of emergency response procedures in his/her area of responsibilities.

• Support in the implementation of OHH programs in his area of responsibilities.

• Advises line management and contractors regarding safety rules, regulation, trends, statistics and compliance with rules and policies.

• Participate at the accident investigation, observations, safety Interactions, Inspections, Safety meetings to assure that program are working as intended.

• Ensures compliance with company Standard Task Procedures.

• Assist line supervisor to have observations/Safety Interactions for their positions.

• Working closely with respective Manager in his area responsibilities to ensure all HSLP applied properly.

• Fully hold responsible for the compliance of all pertaining environmental laws and regulations and the compliance of environmental management and protection permits in his/her respective work area.

• Manage environmental performance improvement programs including energy conservation, water conservation, resources conservation, waste mitigation, pollutions.

• Conduct, manage and coordinate site Periodical Safety Inspections as listed in the HSE Activity Planner.

• Participate in HSE Meetings (AMNT and Contractors)

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health, Safety and Environmental qualifications or relevant qualifications

• Have middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.

• Senior First Aid Qualification

• Minimum 10 years of experience working in Construction industries.

• Have experience in EPC Industry/ Process Fixed Plant construction operation practice is a must

• HSE Systems and Processes

• HSE standard (SMK3, OHSAS 18001, Safety Auditor, Risk Management process) and government safety regulation; understand about HSE standard on EPC/ Process Fixed Plant Construction activities; Familiar with Safety management at all levels.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; Good in coaching and mentoring; Good literacy and numeracy skills; Good computing skills

• Basic English communication skills
